25+ years of tattooing distilled into two days — plus a full month of support after. This isn't a beginner's course. It's for artists who already tattoo, and want to close the gap between where they are and where Volkan is.
Why This Workshop
Volkan Demirci has spent 25+ years developing a design language — Modern Japanese Surrealism — that didn't exist before he created it. That process, the thinking behind it, the technical execution that makes it work on skin: none of it is written down anywhere else. This workshop is the only way to get it directly from him, one to one.
Before We Begin
This isn't a fixed syllabus delivered the same way to everyone. Before anything starts, Volkan sits down with you to understand where you are and what you're trying to get better at — then reviews your previous work so the two days are built around closing your specific gaps, not a generic checklist.
Not ready to commit yet? Volkan offers a one-to-one online consultation first — a call to talk through where you are, what the workshop would cover for you specifically, and whether it's the right fit before you enrol.
Day 1
The first day is theory — but taught the way Volkan actually works, not abstracted from practice. Setup and machines through to the compositional thinking that makes a piece feel alive rather than flat.
Day 2
Day two moves from paper to skin. You bring your own model, and you tattoo alongside Volkan — not watching from across the room, but working the piece together while he demonstrates technique in real time, on your hands.
Photos and videos of the process are captured throughout, plus full aftercare recommendations at the end.
After the Workshop
Most workshops end when the weekend does. This one doesn't. For a full month afterwards, Volkan stays reachable for whatever comes up once you're back tattooing on your own — and you're invited to come back and observe him at work during that time.
